12 to 24 hours: Once the appendix is thoroughly inflamed and it touches the lining of your abdomen it will "localize" to that area. -- usually the rt lower abdomen. But there are many reasons you may not feel it there. If you have bad abdominal pain that is not improving or has not been relieved by a bowel movement you should see an md for evaluation, whether or not it localizes. Appys can do strange things.
