Weight lifting: Any type of bodily straining can contribute to hemorrhoids, which is the engorgement of veins with blood in the anal area due to increased pressure?

Hemorrhoid causes: Hemorrhoids are venous structures. Constipation is associated with local trauma to the anal canal as large, hard stool passes. It is also associated with straining. Straining, coughing, lifting all lead to increased venous pressures. So the lifting may be a contributor to hemorrhoids in your case. Care and treatment is the same. Good luck.
