Conjunctivitis: It is very possible you have a form of conjunctivitis. This most commonly is due to allergy, virus, or bacteria. There is a severe form of viral conjunctivitis called ekc - epidemic keratoconjunctivitis - that can have membranes which form on the back of your lids, but these commonly do not come out on their own. People who rub or pick at their eyes a lot can have mucous strands that come out.

Allergy: Descritption is compatable with allergic conjuctivitis. Try naphcon, and otc drop. If no improvement see an eye care professional as this could be a more severe form referred to as vernal conjunctivits. If wearing contact lenses, discontinue until clears.
