Get exam: You need to determine the type of dry eye disease you have in order to customize a treatment. Many computer users tend to blink less often, allowing the ocular surface to dry out. Try blinking more and using artificial tear drops.

Artificial tears: Use lots of artificial tears-preservative free if you need them more than 4 times a day. Omega-3 fish oil may help. If this is not enough, see an ophthalmologist to try tear drainage duct plugs or prescription drops restasis.
