UTI on Antibiotics: It is generally thought that cultures may be falsely negative if they are taken while one is also taking antibiotics. The symptoms of a UTI are so well known that if you are not getting better you may need a different kind of antibiotic. It is hard to get this culture accurately if you are on antibiotics.... So it is a bit of a conundrum.
