CTS vs HNP/Stenosis: The problem may be in the wrist, and carple tunnel syndrome; alternatively the problem may be in the cervical spine which could cause an impingement of the decending sensory nerves.

Nerve compression: Bilateral compression of nerve roots emerging from c1, c2, c3, c4, c5, c6, c7, C8 and t1 vertebrae, may lead to numbness, tingling and pins and needles sensation of the arm. Arms may also feel heavy. The above mentioned nerve roots combine to form brachial plexus. Thanks.
