Conversion disorder: A conversion disorder occurs when there is a change to body function (i.e., can't see, paralysed limb, numbness). The body change is not faked but occurs for psychological reasons that the person isn't aware of. I see you have pseudoseizures listed which is one form of conversion disorder. It is usually a diagnosis of exclusion. It may be suspected when sxs can not be anatomically explained. V v.

Yes, it's real: Conversion disorder is a psychiatric condition with neurological symptoms or deficits that are associated with psychological conflicts or stressors beforehand. It's not intentionally produced or feigned. Symptoms can be motor or sensory. Prognosis is good if: onset is acute & recent; associated w/stressful life event; and good overall health. You could possibly wake up with this problem.
