Lymph nodes or not: Are the knots under the skin and over the muscle and are they present in other parts of the body? You need to have it examined by your family dr. To see if they are enlarged lymph nodes. If not, they may be fibrositic nodules from overuse of the trapezius muscle due to myofascial problems especially if accompanied by neck tightness or discomfort.
