Keratosis Pilaris: The best thing to do for keratosis pilaris (kp) is to be extraordinarily gentle with your skin. Do not use exfoliating washes to the area or rub the area with wash clothes or loofahs. There are over the counter moisturizers (ex amlactin) which help to smoothen the skin over time, however kp is very difficult to treat and is more of a skin type than a skin condition. Gentle soaps are recommended.
