No: There is no reason to take a vitamin d injection. It can be taken orally in high doses--up to 50, 000 units at once. It is best absorbed if it is taken with food.

Don't drink injectio: Injections are shots so they're meant to be given via needle into muscle or under skin, not swallowed or drunk. Vitamin d is readily available w/o prescription in most grocery & drug stores. It's thought that 1, 000-2, 000 units swallowed daily is safe. Better to check 25oh vitamin d levels before & after to determine how much needed. Typically no need to worry about egg in conjunction w/vitamin d.
