Likely not needed : There are cases were hymenal surgery is needed but they are rare. If you are having menstrual cycles a blood comes out then your hymen is open enough. If you can insert your finger into the vagina then it is open enough for whenever you are ready to have sex. Unless there is a problem there is no reason to surgical excise the hymen.
