My sons dr prescribed him 1 tsp once a day of zantac (ranitidine) at 75mg per 5 ml and took it for over 30 days he is 5 months & weighs 15 lbs .should i be worried?

What's your concern?: Are you concerned about the dosing, the duration of use, the drug's safety and side effects, appropriateness for an infant, the indication of use (e.G the underlying gerd disease or symptoms being treated)? Have you spoken with the prescribing pediatrician or done any research on this well-established drug itself (approved for use in the usa 30 years ago)?
