Cough, runny nose: Most respiratory infections involve either runny/stuffy nose, cough, or difficulty breathing. Minor upper respiratory tract infections last up to 7-10 days and are mild. Fever may be present at the beginning. Lower respiratory tract inections can be more severe. Wheezing, loose cough with mucus production, labored/rapid breathing may be present- these symptoms require evaluation by a doctor.
