Seriously, cover your bed (plastic zipped enclosure for matress and pillows), wash bed linens in hot water to kill dust mites, and i wouldn't have pets you are allerigc to. There are several long term meds that you could use - talk to doc about options.

Allergies: You can start with an otc antihistamine like claritin, (loratadine) allegra, zyrtec or their generic equivalents. See an allergist, be tested and see if you are a candidate for allergy shots.

Consult with an: Allergist. Desensitization wherein small amounts of the substance you are allergic to are injected into your skin will trigger an antibody response until your body no longer develop an allergic reaction would help. Complete avoidance of the agent is not easy but feasible . Taking antihistamines and anti-leukotrienes would help. Epipen (epinephrine) is advisable to have in hand if u had anaphylactic rxn b4.
