Not a problem: Using a narcotic short term for severe pain is not a problem. However, if you use narcotics long-term during the pregnancy, it can cause the baby to be born addicited and have to go through withdrawl after it is born. An occassional dose here and there is not a big problem, but always let your OB know any meds you take for both your safety and that of your baby.
