Are bumps on the back of your tongue normal?

Yes : The larger bumps in the back of the tongue forming a row are called the circumvallate papillae. They are one of the structures that provide taste.

Bumps on tongue: Your tongue is covered with bumps called taste buds. The ones towards the back tend to be larger. If you are concerned about a possible infection that has enlarged them (especially if you have pain on your tongue or throat) i would see your md to have evaluated.
