Yes: There are bumps on the back of the tongue that are perfectly normal. That said, there are sometimes (rarely) bumps that are not normal. Ask your very knowledgeable Dentist to take a look. And if you are overdue for a dental examination, please make one.

Bumps on tongue: Your tongue is covered with bumps called taste buds. The ones towards the back tend to be larger. If you are concerned about a possible infection that has enlarged them (especially if you have pain on your tongue or throat) i would see your md to have evaluated.
