Unreliable: Aluminum is stored mostly in bone, and doesn't circulate much in blood; aluminum levels are notoriously unreliable. If your doctor has a concern for this, he can order a Deferoxamine infusion test, and interpret to see (it is not as simple as a simple high/low value). Aluminum toxicity classically results in an anemia picture due to its effect on blood cell generation.
