Stem Cell?: What kind of stem cell and for what disease? A TSH of 0.12 with an uptake of 18.7 seems to demonstrate a level of autonomy to me, but it could theoretically fall into a normal range. The actual numbers reflect any number of possible conditions including euthyroid sick, resolving thyroiditis (would be consistent with old uptake and scan), or subclinical hyperthyroidism. What was the pattern?

Iodine intake: Another possible explanation for the uptake of 0.6% and then 18% is that the patient received a big dose of iodine, perhaps in a procedure (ct with contrast?). Perhaps that caused a transient mild uptick in T4 (lowering the tsh).
