Xanax (alprazolam) withdrawal: Increased anxiety with panic attacks; extreme nervousness; insomnia; moodiness; tremors; hallucinations; nightmares; nausea & vomiting; seizures. Xanax (alprazolam) & other benzo-diazepines should never be stopped abruptly; they should be tapered off very gradually (weeks to months in some cases). Often pt on xanax (alprazolam) is given benzo easier to withdraw.
