My son ear's are burning and really red all on the outside and behind his ears and persistent coughing what could it be?

Umm, hard to say.: There is really nothing specific about the symptoms you describe for your son that gives us a clue as to what exactly is going on medically. A cough with a rash conjures up all sorts of possibilities.... How old is your son? Does he have fever? Does the rash go away--or is it persistent?
