If i did the quick start in birth control and get my period the week after i started, do i continue taking active pills or the sugar pills?

Bcp: You need to continue taking the pills for the duration of the pack. Anytime you have breakthrough bleeding you should continue to take the pill, you may need to double up if the bleeding is heavy. You have to be aware that during breakthrough bleeding episodes you may not be covered or protected for contraception and use an alternative contraceptives like condoms.
