How do i know when a sore knee is doctor visit worthy i think i may have twisted it a little i can still walk fine but trouble with stairs one weekago?

Swelling: Swelling of the knee is often a good sign of significant injury to the knee. Comparison with the other knee by looking in a mirror can be useful. 2 other signs of significant injury are "locking" and "giving way".
