Drink plenty: Most acute diarrheal illness will resolve. Maintaining adequate hydration is the key. For severe abdominal pain, persistent vomiting or blood in the stool, urgent evaluation is recommended. If the diarrhea does not resolved in 48-72 hrs you should see your doctor.
