A member asked:

Discomfort under my kneecaps after high uric acid. fastest cure for this?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Might not be gout: Pain under both knees is unlikely gout. Usually gout is 1 joint. The affected joint is almost always red, hot, swollen and in fact frequently looks infected. The high uric acid may be unrelated, many people with high levels do not develop out. The only way to truly diagnose gout is to stick a needle in the joint, drain the fluid and look at it under a polarized light. Treatment depends on dx.
