One of the following: High bilirubin is what causes jaundice. Increased red cell destruction(from hemolytic anemia) makes you feel week and tired. Liver disease like hepatitis or bile obstruction due to stone or tumor can cause jaundice. Most pateints with liver disease feel weak, have loss of appetite and nausea. Pain in the right side of the abdoemn is common in such patients painless jaundice can also occur sometime.
