See below: Your neck has 7 vertebral bodies joined to each other by 2 synovial joints. These joints contain fluid that when "forced" out can create a popping sound. This is what happens when a chiropractor manipulates the spine. If the popping is persistent or if you have pain with the popping be sure to see your physician.
