Can my dad go on a flight after a laminectomy?

Surgery Flying: The main problem with flying after lumbar spine surgery is the inability of your surgeon to care for you in another city. This leaves the emergency room as your main source of care if a problem arises. Stay home for a least the first six weeks if possible. As far as flying is concerned, no specific contraindications after spine surgery is identified.
