Piriformis Syndrome: This could be associated with a deep muscle in the buttock that is adjacent to the sciatic nerve. When the muscle spasms it can irritate the nerve. Pain can be alleviated with an injection. I recommend evaluation by a pain specialist to see if you are a candidate.
