See below: Malarone (atovaquone and proguanil) can be associated with loss of appetite. Perhaps u r not eating enough so that your nighttime blood sugar drops enough to waken u for nourishment. May want to have pcp check for hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) diabetes, thyroid disease. In meantime can try bedtime snack of peanut butter crackers or peanut butter on a slice of cheese: gives carbs, protein, & fat that should last thru night.

It could be from: Hunger or cravings. When u are exhausted, the brain uses more energy thus increasing your caloric needs and stimulating your appetite. Feel for yourself and differentiate whether you are really hungry or just craving for food. The former is a physiologic need while the latter is an emotional one. Get examined. Have a comprehensive blood test to check for hypo or hyperglycemia . Take care!
