Be a real friend: You are good to want to help someone in need. I'm not a psychiatrist / therapist, but phobias are often managed successful and return these unfortunates to higher levels of function than before. Don't try to counsel. Offer encouragement and approve every step she takes toward overcoming these terrible fears. Include her in activities -- being troubled can be isolating. Generally, be cool & kind.
