No: Most women find their periods get lighter with the mirena (levonorgestrel), (levonorgestrel) and 20% of women will have no periods at all on the mirena (levonorgestrel). So sometimes missing a period altogether or only spotting is normal. It is also normal to vary in the amount of bleeding you have, month to month.
