There is no opening: If your ear canal does not exist, sound cannot be relayed to your inner ear. By contrast, if your inner ear still functions, the internal sounds are magnified. This includes the pulsations of your carotid artery and jugular vein. Your ear canal, unless surgically created, will remain absent for the duration of your life.
