No clearcut relation: There is a literature of sorts raising questions of the relationship of ms and trauma (charles poser, md), but the american academy of neurology does not feel this is real. Your condition may be c/w neuromyelitis optica or even multiple sclerosis, and the distinction needs to be made for appropriate medication choices. I, for one, doubt that the mva has anything to do with your problem.

NO: The bulging disc can cause some symptoms, usually radiating pain down one arm, Transverse myelitis has a medical origin not traumatic
