Transverse myelitis: Transverse myelitis is inflammation at one level of the spinal cord - may be caused by a virus or immune problem, or be idiopathic (no cause understood) - but the symptoms of a dural tumor might mimic those of transverse myelitis at the level of the tumor (the spinal cord ends at l1-2, so tumors below that would not cause symptoms of transverse myelitis).

Is L-4 correct?: The spinal cord ends about l-2, and there is no such entity as an intradural lesion at l-4. However, most transverse myelitis cases involve thoracic levels. Did you really mean t-4?
