A member asked:

My mother, 62, gets really bad leg cramps after eating anything made with grains. what could this be?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Celiac Disease: It's possible she has celiac disease. With this, the gluten in grain products can lead to a myriad of symptoms, among them leg cramps. A gluten-free diet would address this, but she should discuss this with her doctor first to insure that is the correct diagnosis.
