A member asked:

My mother age 74 is suffering from hcv for the last 10 years. it arena that virus is not active. however she suffers from cramps in legs, hands?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unrelated: If she is only hepatitis c positive but not having active disease, then the cramps in legs and hands are most likely unrelated. Leg cramps can be due to conditions lie restless legs syndrome, adverse effects of some medicines, dehydration and electrolytes imbalance and in many hormonal and neurological conditions.
