Saliva: Saliva is the lubricant of your mouth, throat, and vocal chords. If the lack of saliva is so severe as to compromise the ability to speak, you need to see your dentist, who will make sure you are helped. There are options, but first you need a diagnosis. You may be sent to an ent, for multidisciplinary care.

See a Professional: Sore throat and loss of voice could be symptoms of decrease saliva. Examination is needed to determine cause and proper treatment so that symptoms do not progress.
