Eye care: One of the issues with a facial palsy is incomplete eye closing and lack of good lubrication of the eye and cornea from the lacrimal gland (also supplied by the facial nerve). Most facial palsy 's will improve. Care of the eye during the weakness with eye drops and eye lubricants at night helps protect the cornea of the eye from exposure and drying.
