Depends: It depends on the other aspects of the disease process; vital signs, labs, how the patient appears. Septicemia is simply the presence of bacteria in blood, and is a fairly old term. Sepsis is the idea that there is an infection that is causing a systemic response (fever, high white cell count, fast heart rate, fast breathing rate).

30% and none: Septicemia is no longer a term used in the medical literature much, in general it is a synonym for sepsis. Sepsis is defined as a combination of an infection with signs of generalized inflammation in the body, such as fever, elevated white blood cell count ( WBC fight infection) low blood pressure among other signs. The overall survival rate varies but in general about 30% of septic patients die.
