Yes....: Sepsis can be treated, supportive care given and the patient can survive. In general, the older the patient as well as the greater the organ systems involved, the higher the morbidity and mortality rate. Ask your doctor for specific information about the patient you are asking about to determine the risk of morbidity/mortality.
