Less Likely: Your symptoms are more consistent with tmj. Temporomandibular joint and muscle disorders (tmj disorders) are problems or symptoms of the chewing muscles and joints that connect your lower jaw to your skull. You should be evaluated by a dentist to make certain it is not a dental infection developing.

Probably not: Although jaw/tooth pain can cause headaches, it is not common to have lower jaw pain cause sinus problems. It is possible to get referred pain from your bottom jaw although this is less common. Your lower jaw pain may be contributing to your headaches, you may try to address your tooth pain and see if it alleviates the headaches. Is there something else that suggests you have sinus symptoms?

Other possibilities: Sinus congestion could cause headaches. But lower jaw pain could be a number of other things. In addition to tmj, it could also be a tooth abscess. Heart problems, or other more uncommon things. I encourage you to get examined asap!

Possible: This is possible but usually sinus problems will present with pain in the upper jaw. Other causes could be the tmj, salivary gland, pathology in the neck/face/mouth area or a tooth issue. See a dentist and your family doctor.

Unlikely: It's more likely a tooth problem and an unrelated headache. You can have more than one problem at the same time. Take some otc pain medication and see your dentist first.
