Sounds like it: Even if they could be put back in, from the sounds of your symptoms, why would you want that done? Correct indications for both procedures--should have you feeling much better in long run, w/less pain, and less future cancer risks.

Probably: I would guess you have a history of breast cancer since you are taking tamoxifen. Removing your ovaries to lower your estrogen levels could be beneficial to lessen the chance for estrogen stimulating the breast cancer to regrow. Removal of the uterus due to fibroids is quite appropriate.
