Time: It still takes some time for entire system to work in tandem. This has not happened yet in your case. When is your appointment with the surgeon? See him to make sure that you have not developed a complication.

See your surgeon: Without a physical exam & recent lab and x-ray reports it is hard to guess here. This may be a normal recovery for you. Avoid narcotic pain medications that can cause nausea & vomiting. See your surgeon very soon for an exam to see if you are recovering normally. Eat light & small soft foods. Drink plenty of liquids to avoid dehydration. Go to the emergency room if getting worse pain & vomiting.

Call your Surgeon: Vomiting after surgery for a small bowel obstruction warrants a call to your surgeon. Common causes include a recurrent obstruction (esp if you are not passing gas from below) or an ileus, often in response to narcotic pain medication. Hope it's just a false alarm.
