Why cabergoline: If it's not a tumor, it means that the tumor is too small to find or you have an elevated prolactin for another reason such as psychiatric meds. Otherwise, there's no need to take cabergoline. If your prolactin is elevated, and then lowered with cabergoline, the level will again rise if the cause has not been resolved.
