On cabergoline not for tumor, will it increase progesterone & estrogen as i begin to ovulate more consistently. ?

High prolactin?: Cabergoline is used to restore ovulation when prolactin levels are elevated, most likely from prolactinoma. Once prolactin is under control, the menstrual cycle (hormones) can return to normal.

Why cabergoline: If it's not a tumor, it means that the tumor is too small to find or you have an elevated prolactin for another reason such as psychiatric meds. Otherwise, there's no need to take cabergoline. If your prolactin is elevated, and then lowered with cabergoline, you may have improvement in hormone secretion and more normal ovulation and possible fertility.
