A member asked:

What can cause my wifes vagina to be overly sensitive? it started after her partial historectomy, but this was years ago and never improved.

Many things: Having a hysterectomy can effect the nervous system to the vagina and can also effect the hormone status of the vagina which can have other consequences. Patients can also develop muscle spasms of the pelvic floor following surgery that never was addressed. Women should see a gynecologist to address these problems as they can usually be treated.

It is unusual: It is unusual to have sensitivity years after hysterectomy , take her to a gynecologist, for examination, it is possible, the stitches at vaginal cuff may not melted out, or no melting ( non absorbable ) stitch may be trying to come out ( stich granuloma )
