I have an earache and my ear feels full and has a little bit of clear drainage. what should i do?

Earache: Is drainage from ear or nose/throat? May be "swimmer's ear" infxn of outer canal (try otc products for that & heat to ear) or middle ear infxn or eustachian tube inflammation (for latter 2 conditions, otc decongestant like sudafed may help alleviate symptoms). If not better in couple days, or if worse, see fp/ent for exam. Remember: no q-tips in ear canals!
