Unlikely: The drops should not cause a problem. If you do a lot of flushing, or put instruments in your ears, that can cause problems. Popping ears often mean eustachian tube dysfunction or allergic rhinitis. Try otc Claritin ( generic is fine, ) or any of those allergy like meds. Nasal steroids ( nasacort) is now also over the counter and can help. This is not related to your earwax problem!

Cleaning: Carbide peroxide is used to remove ear wax. If you have used this product and still have the problem, get checked by a specialist. The pain and discharge is often associated with an infection which , as you described , does not seem to be your problem. Good luck.
