Cervical surgery is: Usually called a leep or a cone biopsy. It is done to remove "dysplastic" or precancerous skin from the cervix. It does not make hpv virus go away, just the pre cancerous skin changes caused by hpv. The virus will still be there, there is no surgery or medication to get rid of the virus.
